# Data Center Atlas

> Data centres around the world. Updated 2026-10-27: 838 physical sites, 906 projects in 63 countries, 4753 evidence rows. Statuses were observed from 2024-08-06 to 2026-10-27. Existing records retain their last observation; an Atlas update does not mean every project was rechecked.

## About the data

- Each status is the last reported project status as of a dated source (status_as_of), not the status today.
- Locators are not building footprints or construction extents; some markers identify only a town or region, not a facility position.
- Empty or null values are unknown, never zero.
- Coverage is incomplete and varies by country.
- Every status, locator and metric is backed by an evidence row with a source URL, retrieval time, content hash and licence; follow those links rather than trusting summaries.
- Licence: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International for Atlas-authored data; geometries derived from OpenStreetMap are © OpenStreetMap contributors under Open Data Commons Open Database License 1.0; other third-party facts keep their source terms (https://kiankyars.github.io/datacenter-atlas/about/attribution/).
