Summary

Global Switch's Madrid page, in the version modified on 23 September 2026, describes the facility in the present tense (Global Switch Madrid offers location, low power pricing, enterprise ecosystems and client solutions, supports a wide range of power requirements and 'offers an exceptional choice and range of connectivity partners'); the site navigation lists Madrid among the operator's data centres while Johor and Bangkok are marked 'Coming Soon'. The modification date is bounded by the Internet Archive copy of 10 June 2026 (earlier version, same statements) and by the sitemap lastmod and this capture of 27 October 2026. This records the existing Madrid data centre as operating on 23 September 2026, the version's publication day; it is not an opening, inspection or commissioning date. Global Switch's 6 October 2026 announcement on 25 years of continuous operation, which recalls its expansion into Madrid, is context. The status covers the existing facility only (labelled 'Madrid 1 14MW' in the June page version); Madrid 2 (56 MW) and the campus expansion plans are not asserted as built or under construction. evidence

The MW figures are the operator's facility labels, not measured load, and the page does not say whether Madrid 2 is built. evidence

Location details

Coordinates: 40.44798, -3.57475
Geometry licence: public-sector-information
Use scope: Campus locator
Scope class: operator_address_cadastral_parcel_area_centroid
Authority: Compiled location reference
Source entity: Campus
Method: catastro_inspire_epsg25830_operator_address_parcel_area_centroid_pyproj_to_wgs84
Derivation: coordinate_transform
Precision scope: Area centroid of cadastral parcel 1378103VK5717G (8,145 m2, about 151 by 60 m), the only property at Calle Yécora 4, 28022 Madrid, the address Global Switch gives for its Madrid campus. The point lies inside the parcel 27 m from its boundary and locates the existing data-centre building; it is not a surveyed footprint and does not locate the Madrid 2 expansion or land outside the parcel.
Horizontal uncertainty: Not reported
Catastro publishes no positional accuracy for parcel boundaries; the point is a derived interior anchor of a parcel whose farthest vertex is about 80 m away. Decimal places are computation precision, not accuracy.
Geometry evidence: 001e9217

A locator places the site on the map. It is not a building footprint, a construction extent or a surveyed boundary unless the use scope is an official boundary, and even then it is a parcel or permit boundary.
