Summary
Campus AI, a joint venture of the UAE fund MGX, French public bank Bpifrance, Mistral AI and NVIDIA, is developing a 1.4 GW AI data center campus at Fouju in Seine-et-Marne, about 40 km southeast of Paris. Plans call for roughly eleven data center buildings plus a training building on about 89 hectares, fed by a dedicated 400 kV substation. Environmental authorizations and the phase-one building permit were granted in summer 2026, phase-one works were scheduled from September 2026, and the first three data centers are targeted for early 2028. Local opponents have said they will appeal.
