Stargate UAE / UAE-US AI Campus
Under construction
United Arab Emirates · 1 project · Last reported
Summary
A planned 5 GW AI data centre campus in Abu Dhabi, unveiled in May 2025 under a US-UAE technology partnership and led by G42. Its first 1 GW block, branded Stargate UAE, is being developed by G42 unit Khazna Data Centers, with OpenAI and Oracle named as operators and NVIDIA supplying GB300 systems. Construction of an initial 200 MW (two 100 MW buildings) was under way in 2026, with handover targeted for 2026; no completion dates have been given for the rest of the 1 GW cluster or the wider campus. A UAE minister put the cost at more than USD 30 billion in January 2026.

Sources describe Stargate UAE as the first 1 GW cluster inside the 5 GW UAE-US AI Campus, so both are kept in one record with phase-level figures to avoid double counting. Some reports (for example The National in January 2026) use the Stargate UAE name for the whole 5 GW project. Khazna said in August 2026 that construction continued through that year's regional conflict. SoftBank Group is also named as a partner, but no source reviewed states its role, so it is not listed as a party.
