Iozera Tetouan AI data center and hub

Summary
Proposed 386 MW data center and artificial-intelligence hub in Tetouan, northern Morocco, announced in May 2024 by the US start-up Iozera during a Moroccan government roadshow in North America, with a planned investment of about USD 500 million and renewable power. Plans included AI computing, AI training and data-labelling units, conventional data storage and a start-up incubation centre. Reports from January and July 2026 still describe it as announced; a BMI note summarised by Le360 in July 2026 put commissioning in the second half of 2026, but no source found confirms construction.

Daba Finance (January 2026) says Naver's separate 500 MW AI data center plan, unveiled in 2025 with Nvidia, is at the same Tetouan site, whereas Le360 (July 2026) places the Naver Cloud-led 500 MW hub near Casablanca; that project is not covered by this record. Iozera's own website did not mention the Morocco project when checked. Earlier reports of a specific Tetouan site, floor area and an original Q2 2026 opening target come from pages that could not be opened, so they are not recorded.
