Summary
Hyperscale data center campus proposed by K2 Strategic Infrastructure Italy, a company held by K2 Strategic Pte. Ltd., across the municipalities of Zibido San Giacomo and Lacchiarella in the Metropolitan City of Milan. On 4 August 2026 Italy's Council of Ministers declared it a programme of preeminent national strategic interest. Press reports attribute to the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy figures of up to about 400 MW and an estimated EUR 5.3 billion of investment over four years of development and construction. A government commissioner is to coordinate permits. Local groups have raised concerns about new data centers in the area over farmland, water, grid strain and noise.
