Summary
MASE decree DM_2026-0000633 of 15 October 2026 gives a positive environmental-compatibility judgement, with conditions, for Microsoft 4825 Italy S.r.l.'s project in Bornasco (PV): emergency generators serving a new datacenter called MIL06, the second phase completing the development area that includes MIL05 (about 93 MWt added, about 163 MWt on the site). This dated government record names the project and supports announced only. The decree is an environmental decision, not a building permit; it requires notice of the start of works at least 30 days in advance, and the annexed opinion places MIL06 construction after the main construction of MIL05. No permit, site work, construction or operation of MIL06 is asserted. evidence

MIL06 — second datacenter building (north building) with emergency generators (VIA decree DM 633/2026, ID_VIP 10891)
Announced last observed as of · Project announcement
The technical commission's opinion describes the intervention as the second phase of the campus, MIL06, completing the ATP1 productive transformation area already started with phase MIL05 (excluded from VIA by MASE decree of 20 July 2023, ID_VIP 8481). The plan provides two main datacenter buildings: MIL05 is the south building and MIL06 the north building; the site will have 23 diesel emergency generators (about 163 MWt). The lot lies north of Via dei Pioppi and, indirectly, east of Via Rimembranze, on cadastral sheet 14, parcels 31, 32, 370 and 372 of Bornasco (165,351 m2 cadastral area). Each building takes about 27 months to build, with MIL06 starting about 12 months after MIL05 and only after MIL05's main construction; 88 operating staff are expected across both buildings. evidence

The project page lists the VIA ID_VIP 10891 for the Bornasco datacenter generators above 150 MWt (Lombardia, Pavia, Bornasco), filed 8 January 2024, with the VIA decree DM_2026-0000633 of 15 October 2026 (positive with conditions/recommendations), notified on 16 October 2026 (MASE_2026-0215567), procedure concluded. It links the earlier project for the same work (generators above 50 MWt), whose compliance verifications concluded in 2023-2025. evidence

Georeferenced imagery extract used only to check the WGS84 reading of the filed stack coordinates: the stacks fall on graded open ground crossed by an internal track north of a tree-lined road, with the northern MIL06 stacks partly on an adjoining unworked field; no building is visible. Not a measured accuracy and not a status observation. evidence

- Precision scope
- Mean of the 23 emergency-generator stack positions (10 for MIL05, 13 for MIL06) printed in UTM 32N WGS84 in the proponent's November 2023 dispersion study. The stacks flank the two planned buildings, so the point lies between the south building (MIL05) and the north building (MIL06), about 56 m south of the MIL06 stack mean (the MIL05 and MIL06 stack means are about 130 m apart); the stacks extend up to 148 m from it. It locates the campus, not a building footprint, parcel centroid or entrance.
- Horizontal uncertainty
Not reported
The filing states no positional accuracy; the point is the arithmetic mean of modelled generator-stack positions from a 2023 design spread over about 164 by 257 m, and it lies between the two buildings rather than on MIL06. Decimal places are computation precision, not accuracy.

A locator places the site on the map. It is not a building footprint, a construction extent or a surveyed boundary unless the use scope is an official boundary, and even then it is a parcel or permit boundary.
