Summary

NorthC Schweiz's post of 30 September 2026 states in the present tense that NorthC operates its supra-regional Swiss data-centre network with data centres in Münchenstein, Biel and Winterthur, and that its four carrier- and cloud-neutral data centres in Münchenstein, Biel and Winterthur are equipped for customers' IT requirements, with almost 10,000 m2 and over 6.4 MW across the Basel, Biel/Bern and Winterthur/Zurich regions. NorthC's only Biel facility is the Datacenter Biel (Bern) at Tennisweg 6, 2504 Biel (3,880 m2, 4 MW, Tier III design). The dated operator statement supports operation of the Biel data centre as of 30 September 2026; it is not an opening date, and the network totals are not attributed to Biel. evidence

Location details

Coordinates: 47.15573, 7.27944
Geometry licence: public-record-source-terms
Use scope: Project locator
Scope class: official_building_address_point_of_operator_published_facility_address
Authority: Official source
Source entity: Campus
Method: geo_admin_mapserver_amtliches_gebaeudeadressverzeichnis_egaid_102359099_served_wgs84
Derivation: direct_geometry
Precision scope: Official federal building-address point (EGAID 102359099, EGID 191642154) of Tennisweg / Chemin du Tennis 6, 2504 Biel/Bienne, the address NorthC publishes for its Biel data centre. The register links it to one existing non-residential building (built 2018, 1,484 m2 footprint, 5 storeys) whose register coordinate is 23 m west of the point; the point is the address (entrance) position, not the building centroid or a surveyed boundary.
Horizontal uncertainty: Not reported
The federal address register publishes no positional accuracy; the facility occupies the building linked to the address, whose register coordinate is 23 m from the point, and its parcel extends up to about 63 m from the point.
Geometry evidence: 8d9f3714

A locator places the site on the map. It is not a building footprint, a construction extent or a surveyed boundary unless the use scope is an official boundary, and even then it is a parcel or permit boundary.
