CloudHQ QRO Campus (Querétaro)

Mexico · 1 project · Last reported

Summary

CloudHQ, a US data centre developer, plans a six-building hyperscale campus on about 52 hectares next to Querétaro's international airport in central Mexico. Presented at the Mexican president's morning press conference in September 2025, it carries USD 4.8 billion of planned investment and up to 900 MW of critical IT load, with initial power secured for a first 200 MW. CloudHQ's own campus page lists a smaller 360 MW and readiness within 2027. Reports disagree on whether a tenant lease is signed and whether building work has begun, and no 2026 progress report was found.

Status rests on September 2025 announcement coverage; no 2026 construction or tenant update was found. Por Esto reported a lease already signed with an unnamed global technology tenant and works under way, Xataka reported that CloudHQ had invested USD 250 million so far and was still pursuing a long-term lease, while heise described construction as planned and Telecom Review Americas said CloudHQ was still finalising permits, site preparation and tenant contracts. CloudHQ's undated campus page lists 360 MW and six 48 MW buildings, figures that neither add up nor match the 900 MW announced in 2025.

A locator places the site on the map. It is not a building footprint, a construction extent or a surveyed boundary unless the use scope is an official boundary, and even then it is a parcel or permit boundary.
