Merlin Properties plans the Zaragoza-WIND data-centre campus on 28.8 ha of the San Antonio industrial estate and adjoining land in Botorrita, south-west of Zaragoza. The Government of Aragón declared it an investment of regional and general interest on 22 July 2026, published in the regional gazette on 14 August 2026. The single phase comprises one two-storey building of 156,301 m2 for 144 MW IT, an office building, two 220/132 kV substations and external connections, with 227.4 MW of guaranteed grid demand and estimated investment of EUR 1,224.8 million. The regional government reports that President Azcón announced on Wednesday 22 July 2026 the Council of Government approval of the declaration for the "Campus de Centros de Datos Zaragoza-WIND" of Merlin Properties in Botorrita, presented with Merlin's chief executive. It cites EUR 1,224.8 million of investment, 28.8 ha in the San Antonio industrial estate and adjoining parcels, more than 156,000 m2 of built area on two floors, 227.4 MW of guaranteed power for 144 MW IT, and a possible later expansion over another 32.8 ha to 240 MW IT, subject to power availability. evidence
