VNET Ulanqab Zero-Carbon Computing Center — building A1 mechanical, electrical and fit-out works
On 24 October 2026 CSCEC reported that China Construction Second Engineering Bureau, the M&E general contractor for building A1 of VNET's Ulanqab zero-carbon intelligent computing center, has carried out the installation of low-voltage, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, interior fit-out and roof steel-structure works for the building. It describes A1 as not yet completed: once built, the project will advance the zero-carbon centre. The status is A1's mechanical, electrical and fit-out stage as of the report date. Completion, commissioning tests, final acceptance and operation of A1 are not reported and not asserted. No capacity is given for A1. The neighbouring Phase 1 A2 contract, reported in the same item at final acceptance, is the separate existing project and is not included. evidence

VNET’s commercial zero-carbon computing campus is in Yiwutang Industrial Park, Ulanqab. On 24 October 2026, CSCEC reported that Phase 1 building A2’s mechanical and electrical works had entered final acceptance. China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau is delivering the project, intended to provide computing capacity and backup services to the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region.
