Start Campus SINES data center campus
Start Campus is building a six-building data center campus in Sines, Portugal, on a site with a decommissioned power plant, using seawater cooling. Grid power secured from REN gives the campus about 1.2 GW of IT capacity. The first building (SIN01) is in service and full; the much larger second building (SIN02) is under construction and is to be fully occupied by Nscale, which is deploying Nvidia systems for Microsoft. The full campus is targeted around 2030-2031.
