Summary
Hyperscale AI data center development on about 700 acres off Country Club Road in Middlesex Township, Cumberland County, roughly five miles northeast of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania Data Center Partners and PowerHouse Data Centers announced the USD 15 billion joint venture in July 2025: three campuses of six buildings, each with its own 450 MW substation, for 1.35 GW of utility capacity expandable to 1.8 GW, connected by PPL Electric Utilities. Township supervisors approved subdivision plans in January 2026 and a 450 MW substation in March 2026, before vertical construction began. The developers target 300 MW of power by the second quarter of 2027.
