Announced

United States · 1 project · Last reported

Summary

TeraWulf AI and HPC campus in the EastPark Industrial Park in northeast Kentucky, near Ashland on the Boyd and Greenup county line, bought from Industrial Equity Partners in May 2026 with about 285 acres owned or controlled (308 acres per its August release). Kentucky Power, an AEP company, is building a 765/345 kV substation to serve it. In October 2026 TeraWulf raised contracted power to 1 GW under an amended service agreement: the first 500 MW is due to start ramping in 2028 and the second 500 MW was pulled forward to 2029, subject to state regulatory approval. TeraWulf is studying up to 2 GW; no tenant has been named.

The campus straddles Boyd and Greenup counties, so admin2 records Boyd County only as the reference point used for coordinates. Boyd County's judge-executive told a June 2026 town hall that the site would use a closed-loop water system and that the company would pay for on-site power upgrades.

A locator places the site on the map. It is not a building footprint, a construction extent or a surveyed boundary unless the use scope is an official boundary, and even then it is a parcel or permit boundary.
