CDC Marsden Park Campus
Under construction
Australia · 1 project · Last reported
Summary
CDC Data Centres is building a campus of six four-storey data center buildings on about 20 hectares in the Marsden Park Industrial Precinct in Sydney's north-west, within the City of Blacktown. CDC turned the first sod in October 2024 and plans 504 MW of ICT capacity, scalable toward 1 GW, with a dedicated substation of about 720 MVA. The NSW government approved it as state significant development on 27 November 2025 despite objections from Blacktown City Council; press coverage put the investment at A$3.1 billion. CDC describes the campus as in the early stages of construction.
Source record as of 2026-10-09 · Details and sources
CDC's investor day presentation, released by Infratil on 16 September 2026, reports on slide 9 'Substantial investment underway to deliver multiple large scale data centres at CDC's Marsden Park campus across FY28-29'. On the same slide it says that CDC 'is well underway at all sites where customer capacity has been contracted, with all data centres under construction to be delivered across FY27-29'. Slide 6 corroborates this: as at 30 June 2026 it maps MP2 to MP5 as under construction and MP6 as future development. This records CDC's six-building Marsden Park development as under construction on 16 September 2026, the presentation date. The FY28-29 deliveries are forecasts. No particular construction stage, completion or operation is established. evidence

Status rests on CDC's undated Sydney locations page, which described Marsden Park as in the early stages of construction when accessed on 2026-10-09, so status_as_of is the access date. An earlier DatacenterDynamics report on the filing gave a lower investment figure, but that page could not be opened. Wikipedia is cited only for the suburb coordinate.

- The polygon is a contributor-mapped named development outline and the point is only its deterministic longitude-latitude bounding-box midpoint. Neither is a survey, cadastral, planning, parcel, security, building, phase, or current construction boundary. OSM construction tags are retained solely as source context and never provide the selected project's authoritative lifecycle.

OpenStreetMap supplies no survey accuracy, cadastral authority, planning-boundary authority, or numeric horizontal uncertainty for this way.

A locator places the site on the map. It is not a building footprint, a construction extent or a surveyed boundary unless the use scope is an official boundary, and even then it is a parcel or permit boundary.
