Summary
Planned AI data center campus of 500 MW of IT capacity at Ferrera Erbognone in the province of Pavia, Lombardy, near Milan. Eni and the UAE operator Khazna Data Centers signed heads of terms in July 2025 for a joint venture in which Khazna designs and develops a phased master plan and Eni supplies low-carbon power from a new gas-fired plant designed to capture its CO2 for storage at Ravenna. It is the first project in an Italy-UAE programme for up to 1 GW of IT capacity. The European Commission cleared the joint venture in August 2026, when the campus was described as still in design.
