Microsoft Heath Datacenter
Site preparation
United States · 1 project · Last reported
Summary
Three-site Microsoft datacenter program in Licking County, east of Columbus, Ohio, with separate campuses in New Albany, Heath and Hebron. Announced in October 2024 as an initial USD 1 billion investment for Azure cloud capacity, it included a USD 420 million, 245,000 sq ft building on 197 acres in New Albany. In April 2025 Microsoft paused the program, keeping the land and saying two sites would be made farmable. Work resumed in 2026: Heath broke ground in February, and Microsoft's Heath and Hebron pages report tree clearing, mass grading through November 2026 and planned substation work, with no vertical construction timeline. No 2026 update was found for New Albany.

This record groups three sites because the cited sources present them as one program under a single USD 1 billion announcement; split into per-site records if site-level power or investment figures are found. Status reflects site preparation at Heath and Hebron; the New Albany building was on hold as of April 2025 and no later update was found. status_as_of uses the first day of July 2026, the month of the latest entries on Microsoft's month-dated update pages.

Not reported
The captured Census match supplies no bounded horizontal-accuracy value, and a street-range interpolation point is not asserted to fall within the campus, parcel, building, or project extent.

A locator places the site on the map. It is not a building footprint, a construction extent or a surveyed boundary unless the use scope is an official boundary, and even then it is a parcel or permit boundary.
