Meta Fort Worth Data Center
Operational
United States · 1 project · Last reported
Summary
Meta's Building Texas page, published on 12 August 2026, describes its Fort Worth data center as operational since 2017 and names Fort Worth among the three Texas communities where its data centers support jobs, infrastructure and local organisations. An Internet Archive copy of 13 August 2026 contains the same statement, so the observation is the publication day. This supports an operating campus as of 12 August 2026; 2017 is the operator's stated start of operations and is not the observation. No capacity, IT load or new building is asserted. evidence

Meta's two-page Fort Worth Data Center sheet (served as wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Metas-Fort-Worth-Data-Center.pdf) calls it Meta's first data center in Texas, gives USD 1.5 billion+ investment, a 2015 groundbreaking, 200+ operational jobs and 1,200 skilled trade workers at peak construction, and says its operational data center buildings achieve LEED Gold certification and that Meta pays the City of Fort Worth Water Department the full cost of water and wastewater service. It gives no address. evidence

City permit records for Block 3 Lot 7R2 of Alliance Gateway North: electrical permit PE17-11410 lists the owner as Facebook (finaled 2018); PE18-07099, recorded on the predecessor Lot 7R, is labelled 'Facebook, FTW3' for a foundation-only permit for a new data center with mechanical and admin space (owner Winner LLC; expired January 2019); PB17-13620 and PB17-13621 ('Project Ernst, FTW56', buildings 5 and 6, 456,650 sq ft each, owner Winner, LLC) for new data centers were finaled in 2020; PB20-17288 ('Project Ernst - FTW4', new data center building, 168,488 sq ft) was finaled on 1 November 2022; PB20-18552 (FTW3 retrofit of the existing data center and generator yard) was finaled on 27 March 2024. These tie Facebook/Meta and Winner LLC to the data-center buildings on Lot 7R2. evidence

The 200 newest permit records on Like Way (filed 20 October 2017 to 24 July 2024) all carry Block 3 with lot 7R2 (175), lot 7 (24, with a pre-replat survey-tract legal description) or lot 7R (1); owners are Winner LLC / Winner, LLC, the park developer AIL Investment LP and, once, Facebook. They cover new data-center buildings, foundations, a guardhouse, a fire-protection water tank and data-center MEP and generator-yard remodels; the newest filing is a plumbing backflow permit filed 24 July 2024 and finaled 30 July 2024, so no newer permit filing exists on the street. evidence

A locator places the site on the map. It is not a building footprint, a construction extent or a surveyed boundary unless the use scope is an official boundary, and even then it is a parcel or permit boundary.
