Summary
Proposed Google data center on about 468 acres of farmland in Franklin Township on the southeast side of Indianapolis, reported as a USD 1 billion project; tracker Baxtel says Google proposed it through an affiliate, Deep Meadow Ventures. The Metropolitan Development Commission approved the rezoning in August 2025, but the City-County Council scheduled its own public hearing amid opposition from residents worried about water use, flooding and electricity bills. Google's attorney announced the withdrawal of the rezoning petition at the council meeting on 22 September 2025. No later refiling was found.
