Summary
Lancium and QTS announced in July 2026 a data center campus near Turkey in Hall County, Texas, with more than 10 billion US dollars of planned capital investment. Lancium owns the campus and provides electrical and civil infrastructure, planning to bring its own power through battery storage and solar; QTS will design, build and operate the data center buildings. The companies said they would fund all needed energy infrastructure upgrades. Up to 7,000 construction jobs at peak and about 350 permanent jobs were projected. No capacity figure, tenant or construction dates were disclosed.
Source record as of 2026-07-13 · Details and sources
Lancium's Hall County Clean Campus page carries dated aerial photographs of the campus: on 28 August 2026 the first building pad had been graded and laid out alongside the campus transmission line, pad stabilisation and surfacing work was under way, and large-scale earthwork and site utility work continued across the campus (an earlier caption dates the start of clearing and grading of the first building pad to May 2026, month only). These first-party dated construction photographs establish site preparation as of 28 August 2026. No building foundations, structure, completion, energisation or operation are asserted; the 1 GW ERCOT interconnect under review is grid context, not IT capacity. evidence
