Summary
Rowan Digital Infrastructure is building a 300 MW hyperscale data center campus on about 700 acres in east Temple, Bell County, Texas, roughly 70 miles north of Austin. Temple's council gave final approval to annex and zone the land in 2025, and in January 2026 Rowan reported construction under way, with power secured through Oncor and an unnamed large technology company as the long-term customer. In May 2026 Rowan announced it had closed nearly USD 3 billion of debt financing, and it expects operations in 2027. A third and final building, the Lasso Building, is now planned on adjacent land, and Rowan has offered USD 38 million for city water programs and a planned community center.
