AI hosting data center under construction by Cipher Mining, since renamed Cipher Digital, at its Barber Lake site in Colorado City, Texas. In September 2025 Fluidstack leased 168 MW of critical IT load, supported by up to 244 MW of gross capacity, for an initial 10 years; Google backstopped $1.4 billion of Fluidstack's lease obligations and received warrants in Cipher. In September 2026 the lease was extended to 20 years, backed by an added 10-year commitment from an unnamed AI lab, lifting contracted revenue to more than $9 billion. The tenant had begun partial occupancy by August 2026, and data halls are due from the fourth quarter of 2026 through the first quarter of 2027.
