Summary

Master-planned data center park of about 2,100 acres on the former Alcoa Eastalco Works site near Frederick, Maryland. Quantum Loophole bought the land in 2021 with backing from a joint venture with TPG Real Estate, planned to start with 1 GW of transmission capacity, and announced in June 2022 that it had broken ground on shared power, water and fiber infrastructure. TPG took full control at the end of 2024 of a project reported at USD 5 billion. Aligned Data Centers plans four buildings totaling 264 MW in the park, including a 72 MW building reported topped out in March 2026, and Rowan Digital Infrastructure is developing 11 buildings on three sites.

This record covers the whole park; buildings by Aligned, Rowan and other developers inside it are tracked here as phases rather than separate records. The site was bought in 2021 but qualifies through the June 2022 infrastructure groundbreaking and later construction. No source found states that any data center building in the park is operating, so status stays under construction. No campus-wide MW total beyond the 2021 transmission figure was found.

A locator places the site on the map. It is not a building footprint, a construction extent or a surveyed boundary unless the use scope is an official boundary, and even then it is a parcel or permit boundary.
