Summary
Proposed data center corridor of roughly 2,100 acres along Pageland Lane near Gainesville in western Prince William County, Virginia, next to Manassas National Battlefield Park. In December 2023 the county board approved three rezonings (Compass, DG North and DG South) that together allowed about 22 million square feet and up to 37 data centers for QTS and Compass Datacenters. Courts later held the rezonings void because the hearing was improperly advertised. The county and Compass stopped defending them in April 2026, and QTS withdrew its last appeal and ended the project in July 2026.
