United States · 1 project · Last reported
Summary
Hyperscale data center campus on Camp Ground Road in southwest Louisville, Kentucky, developed by a joint venture of PowerHouse Data Centers and Louisville-based Poe Companies and billed as the state's first hyperscale campus. Announced in January 2025 as a 400 MW campus with 335 MW of initial LG&E power secured and the first 130 MW due in October 2026, it sits on about 150 acres with zoning already in place. PowerHouse's campus page now lists up to 525 MW of utility power and up to six buildings. Local reporting in mid-2026 described seven warehouse-sized buildings under construction, with the first phase expected online as soon as October 2026; no tenant has been named.

No investment figure was found. The LG&E release names the joint venture but not the street; WAVE's January 2025 report ties it to 150 acres on Camp Ground Road, and the 2026 local reports, which do not mention PowerHouse (one names Poe as the builder), describe the Camp Ground Road campus as under construction. In January 2025 Poe's president said a large technology company would establish a significant presence there without naming it; WAVE suggested Meta or Microsoft as likely, which is unconfirmed. Louisville Metro Council's six-month data center moratorium of August 2026 applies to new proposals. Whether the October 2026 first-phase target was met was not confirmed by 2026-10-09.
