xAI MACROHARDRR data center (Southaven)

Site records

Third xAI data center in the Memphis area, made by retrofitting a warehouse of roughly 800,000 square feet that xAI bought in late 2025 in Southaven, Mississippi, just south of Colossus 2 across the state line. Mississippi's governor announced it in January 2026 as an investment of more than $20 billion, the largest economic development project in state history, supported by a state sales and use tax exemption and local fee-in-lieu agreements. Musk said it would lift Colossus training compute to about 2 GW, and a July 2026 report relaying his comments said it holds 220,000 NVIDIA GB300 GPUs.

This record reports operational as of 2026-07-31. WMC Action News 5

Location: Southaven, DeSoto County, Mississippi, US. Center of the OpenStreetMap building tagged 'xAI Macrohardrr' on Stateline Road West, taken from this project's OpenStreetMap data center layer (no geocoder call), about 0.5 km south of the Colossus 2 building. This matches Cleanview's address of 2400 Stateline Road, Southaven, and WREG's description of the warehouse as just south of Colossus 2. Status is inferred from a July 2026 WMC report that calls Macro-harder an existing site equipped with 220,000 GB300 GPUs, relaying Elon Musk; no source reviewed confirms when operations began. Converge Digest labels the building 'Colossus 2 (MACROHARDRR)', and analyst estimates for Colossus 2 (xai-colossus-2-memphis) may include it; no Colossus 2 figure is repeated here. The 2 GW figure in the announcements refers to xAI's combined Colossus compute, not this building alone.
