Summary

Amazon announced in November 2025 that it would spend at least $3 billion on a new data center campus in Vicksburg, Warren County, with at least 200 full-time jobs. Officials said construction would start in 2026 and the local mayor expected a five-to-seven-year build-out. Amazon said the campus will support AI and cloud computing. Entergy Mississippi agreed to meet its long-term power needs and is building a gas plant at the former Baxter Wilson site to serve the campus and other industrial projects. The April 2026 statewide update still listed it as planned.
