Summary
TeraWulf is redeveloping the former Century Aluminum facility at Hawesville, Kentucky, acquired in early 2026, into an AI data center campus with more than 250 buildable acres, an energized on-site substation and about 480 MW of available power. In July 2026 Anthropic signed a 20-year lease for about 401 MW of critical IT load, expected to bring about $19 billion of rent over the initial term. Kentucky regulators approved a retail electric service agreement of up to 482 MW in August 2026. TeraWulf targets initial capacity in the second half of 2027 and the full 401 MW by early 2028.
