Microsoft La Muela datacenter campus (Aragón)

Site records

Planned Microsoft datacenter campus at the Centrovía industrial estate in La Muela, west of Zaragoza, the largest by area and investment of the three campuses in Microsoft's Aragón plan. The site was declared of general interest in late 2023. The regional plan (PIGA Región MSFT), given initial approval in November 2025, assigns it 146 hectares and about EUR 2.18 billion, with 50 MW secured for a first phase and up to 300 MW sought later through a new substation. The plan still lacked final approval in August 2026, and a modified version went out for public comment in July 2026. Forbes reported first operation was expected from 2030.
