Microsoft Villamayor de Gállego datacenter campus (Aragón)

Site records

Planned Microsoft datacenter campus on Villamayor de Gállego land at the Malpica industrial estate northeast of Zaragoza, the third Aragón site Microsoft disclosed. The regional government declared it of regional interest in July 2024, citing EUR 2.2 billion of total investment and EUR 365.3 million for an initial phase. The November 2025 regional plan (PIGA Región MSFT) lists 81 hectares and about EUR 1.73 billion, with 50 MW secured for a first phase and up to 300 MW sought later. A modified plan went out for public comment in July 2026, and Forbes reported first operation was expected from 2030.

Investment figures conflict between the 2024 declaration (EUR 2.2 billion) and the 2025 PIGA (about EUR 1.73 billion); both are kept with their dates. In 2024 the sources put Microsoft's investment across its three Aragón sites at EUR 6.6 billion. No government primary source was opened; Boletín Oficial de Aragón entries should be added when available.
